David Geddes, Ph.D.

Principal and Chief Scientist

David is a recognized expert in research and analytics for marketing communications, public relations, and branding. He came to Geddes Analytics from evolve24, a business analytics and research firm specializing in the measurement of corporate reputation and risk, where he was vice president of research and development. He is currently chair of the Institute for Public Relations Commission on Measurement and Evaluation

From 1995 to 2009, he was Senior Vice President and Partner at Fleishman-Hillard, the largest global public relations firm, where he was a leader of the research group. His clients included major corporations including AT&T, Wal-Mart, Visa, Imation, UNICEF, Avaya, Motorola, Caterpillar, and Emerson. Previously, he worked at market research firm Elrick & Lavidge and at Sprint, and was a researcher at the Centre National de le Recherche Scientifique in Toulouse, France.

David earned his B.A. magna cum laude in Social Studies from Harvard, an M.B.A. from the University of Kansas, a Dipl.Et.App. in History from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (Paris), and a Ph.D. in anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania. 


Marc Braun, J.D.

Research Analyst

Marc Braun manages social media and traditional media research, conducts competitive analyses and landscape assessments, and conducts executive interviews. 

Trained as an attorney, Marc has extensive experience acting as company counsel and general business representation for closely-held entities. He has represented and advised over 100 start-up companies and entrepreneurial business ventures, from pre-seed stage to mature.  

The companies ranged from consumer products and services to IT and biotech, with particular focus on information technology, e-commerce, data security, bio-medical, and life science companies, and intellectual property. 

Marc earned his B.A. in psychology at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, a J.D. at the St. Louis University School of Law, and an LL.M in tax law at the Washington University School of Law in St. Louis.


Sandy Dye

Senior Consultant, Research Operations and Data Analysis

Sandy Dye handles the implementation of survey research, programs email/web surveys, manages project scheduling and quality control, and creates crosstabulations and statistical summaries of the data. 

Starting in her previous position as senior manager in the research group at Fleishman-Hillard, Sandy has conducted qualitative and quantitative market and public opinion research for 13 years for corporate, government and non-profit organizations
